“Institutional Investors Seek New Uncorrelated Sources of Alpha in Crypto Markets.”

Crypto prime brokerage platform Floating Point Group (FPG) has partnered with ML Tech to provide access and monitoring of ML Tech’s algorithmic trading strategies within FlowVault, a non-custodial investment management and trading platform.

FlowVault leverages FPG’s crypto-settlement and exchange-based trading platform to help traders reduce trading fees, expand the reach of exchanges and unlock new capital pools. The platform enables traders to directly access trading APIs of exchanges to transfer assets between exchanges and wallets without compromising operational security.

A selective selection of institutional-quality quantitative trading strategies

“Institutional investors are looking for new sources of uncorrelated alpha in the crypto markets,” said Leo Mindiuk, founder of ML Tech. Our partnership with Floating Point Group gives investors access to a selection of institutional-quality quantitative trading strategies managed by ML Tech in the secure FlowVault environment. With multiple trading strategies ranging from delta neutral basis and calendar arbitrage to market neutral statistical arbitrage, investors can choose strategies that fit their risk/appetite and deploy them directly through FlowVault.

ML Tech’s Separately Managed Account (SMA) model offers pre-trade/post-trade risk management as well as 24×7 alerting and monitoring, while institutional investors benefit from full ownership, transparency and insurance on FlowVault.

FPG acts as the premier crypto brokerage platform and agency trading desk for asset managers. The company carries insurance for regulated cryptocurrencies in the United States while holding a VASP registration in the Cayman Islands.

Prime Brokers recently appointed ex-Fireflocks Chris Hazelton as director of marketing, bringing to the role more than fifteen years of marketing and market research experience, the last seven of which he spent leading product marketing for crypto and cybersecurity services.

He has built and led marketing teams for security technology provider FireBlocks, mobile security pioneer Lookout, as well as the BlackBerry 400m enterprise software division. His experience includes 10 years as an industry analyst with S&P Market Intelligence and IDC Research. As Director of Marketing Hazelton drives FPG’s brand building and market leadership across demand generation, content, PR, social and product marketing. They also help clients grow their crypto businesses with FlowVault.

FPG has appointed Peter Eliades as head of distribution, reporting to founder Kevin March, overseeing the sales and business development teams in the US and APAC regions. Joining a primarily technical and crypto-native leadership team, Peter Eliades spent most of his career at banking giants JP Morgan and Wells Fargo as TradFi.
