In a conversation with Clima Stories, Dapper Dan looks back at the impact of Logomania and discusses how it has fueled the use of logos in the industry. His vision has revolutionized the way branding is seen in fashion. Dan talks about his goals with his Puma collection;
“I want to elevate it. I want to give it more color…let’s touch on my thing about Logomania, but the main thing I want to do is elevate the brand. I want to take the brand and make it more luxurious. That’s what I’ve always done.”
Earlier in the interview, Dapper Dan gave more insight into the thinking behind Logomania and how his one-of-a-kind creative vision set the standard in the industry and influenced fashion for decades. highlights,
“I see something the same way I did with the symptoms, you know, with Lomania. I look at them and see what they can become. Logomania is still the same symbols but I took them to a level where they weren’t used like that before.
The signs have not changed, only the way they are reflected has changed. So I say to young people, look. Because you meditate. If you free yourself from what anyone else thinks and see only for yourself, your eyes are only your eyes.
