Decentraland Metaverse hosts Fashion Week 2.0.


Metaverse platform Decentraland is set to host the highly anticipated second edition of Metaverse Fashion Week 2.0 from March 28 – 31, 2023.

The much-anticipated Metaverse Fashion Week 2023 (MFVW23) will “showcase the potential for collaboration across the open metaverse, and push the boundaries of what digital fashion means.”

Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, Miami Fashion Week (MIAFW), DKNY, DUNDAS, Amorepacific, Ben Bridge, Monnier x Republic, etc. are some of the famous brands participating in this year’s MFVW.

Users can witness ‘Dear Vivienne’ – the digital design community pays tribute to the queen of punk fashion: a tribute to Vivienne Westwood. Adidas Virtual Gear NFT debuts thanks to Decentraland MFVW23’s newly created connected wearable functionality.

Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken will set up an infinite NFT exhibition with a fashion theme at MFVW23. One of the highlights of MFVW was the interactive virtual party hosted by Diesel and HAPE, which included several wearable NFT airdrops.

Alastair White, Composer, is performing his latest fashion opera at Metaver Opera House in Dragon City to make MFVW even more memorable.

MVFW23 welcomes digital fashion company DRESSX as the main event organizer. The “Figicode Dress”, a recreation of the classic dress by fashion designer Rubin Singer, was launched at Figicode Fashion Week.

The wearable “IODF Change Symbol” will be unveiled by the Digital Fashion Institute at Decentraland MVFW to draw attention to the unsustainable use of physical fashion.

The winners of Vogue Singapore’s digital fashion competition will be revealed at MVFW23. Faith Connexion brand ambassador Gavin Magnus will perform music at Faith Tribe to highlight the connection between the brand and fashion and music.

“The value of the metaverse is when it comes out of space, out of existence itself,” says Decentraland’s metaverse producer Giovanna Casimiro, who runs the fashion week.

Casimiro added, “Because if everyone just goes to the fantasy and stays there and never comes back, the experience isn’t complete.” I’m a big believer in creating those immersive hybrid experiences.
