Durham – The Duke volleyball team prepared for another ACC tournament weekend at Cameron’s indoor stadium. The Blue Devils welcome No. 11 Georgia Tech Friday before a 1 p.m. matchup with Clemson Sunday. Both tournaments will be broadcast on ACCNX. Friday’s matchup against the Yellow Jackets will be Duke’s third ranked opponent this fall. Chris Edwards He will be on call for both matches and will be joined by Christina Lingley on Sunday.

Setter McKenna Slavick has 627 total assists per set for 10.11 assists per set this season as well as 32 kills, 17 aces, 143 digs and 17 blocks to showcase her all-around game. The Tigers are second in the ACC in blocks (128.0) though Jacyn Bamis and Colleen Finney with 42 and 41 blocks, respectively. Clemson is third in the conference in total digs and has four 100 or more digs, led by Devan Taylor (324), third in the ACC. Sunday’s contest will feature two of the top-serving teams in the ACC, with Duke ranked No. 2 and Clemson leading No. 5 with six of 10 or more aces.
Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech enters Friday’s matchup as the 11th-ranked team in the nation, 12-4 overall and 5-2 in the ACC. The Yellow Jackets feature the fourth-best offense in the conference (.256 hitting percentage), are second in kills (740) and second in assists (681). Offensively, Julia Bergman leads the ACC with 285 kills, 5.28 kills per set and a .263 hitting percentage. She also owns 18 aces, 128 digs and 29 blocks as a threat to Georgia Tech. Isabella D’Amico leads the team with 522 assists and three players have 100 or more digs, led by Paula Pimentel (187). Georgia Tech holds opponents to a .186 hitting percentage but is last in the ACC in blocks (110.0).
Gracie the Great
Top outside shooter Gracie Johnson She’s been a threat on Duke’s roster this season, but that’s no surprise given her impressive numbers on both sides of the ball. She ranks in the top 50 in five national categories: aces per set (6th), total aces per set (11th), points per set (17th), kills per set (38th) and attacks per set (48th). Conference-wide, she ranks in the top five in six statistical categories: total aces (1st), aces per set (1st), points per set (2nd), attacks per set (3rd), hits per set (3rd) and total points (5th). So far this season, she has seen her best offensive output since arriving in Durham, with 221 kills and a .213 hitting percentage. She also owns 36 aces, 102 digs and 22 blocks, proving that she is more than just an offensive threat. The Virginia Beach, Va., native has posted 10 or more kills this season, including a game-high 28 against Michigan (9/9). She has at least one ace in 12 matches against one of the toughest services nationally, including a career-high seven against East Carolina (9/3).
Welcome to the block party
Duke’s blocking has been a point of emphasis early in the season and has been led by middle blockers. Rylie Kadel And Lizzie Fleming. Fleming (52.0), Georgia Stavrinides (43.0), Devon Chang (27.0) and Kerry Keefe (23.0) rounds out Duke’s strong presence in net. Fleming owns 48 contests with four or more blocks.

Duke hosts NC State (Oct. 19) and North Carolina (Oct. 23) at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The match against the Wolfpack will be on the ACC Network at 8 pm.
