The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) highly recommend covid-19 boosters for anyone eligible to reduce pain and stress in medical systems. Elon’s Infectious Disease Response Team is coordinating a series of campus clinics for students, faculty, and staff to receive the Covid-19 booster shots in the fall.
The CDC recommends staying up-to-date with the Covid-19 vaccine.Including all primary immunizations and age-appropriate boosters. All eligible primary vaccinations and up-to-date covid-19 boosters should be provided to all eligible persons over the age of 5, including university students, faculty and staff.
Elon has partnered with Triad Care to develop its new dual covid booster. Available for free. on campus for students, faculty and staff beginning Monday, September 12. Current covid-19 boosters may help to restore the protection that was lost after previous vaccinations and provide broader protection against new variants. The updated, or binary boosters, target the most recent Omicron sub-variants, BA.4 and BA.5, which are more infectious and more resistant than previous Omicron strains.

Take note: There is no charge for the vaccine, but Tried Care requires those with insurance Fill out this form in advance And bring them to their appointment with their insurance card. If someone is uninsured, please let them know about the vaccine.

Who is eligible for the covid-19 vaccine incentive?
- Anyone who is at least 5 years old is eligible to receive a bilateral covid-19 booster. If it’s been more than two months since your last Covid-19 vaccination or booster, you may be eligible for a booster.
- Students, faculty and staff who were previously eligible and received an incentive may receive another incentive if two months or more have passed since their last incentive.
- If you have recently had Covid-19 and it is more than 10 days past your positive test date/test date and you have no symptoms, you may be eligible for a bivalent boost. If you have questions about when it is safe to receive the booster, please check with your primary care physician or medical provider.
