Known for his artistic eye and edgy flair, Jonathan Anderson presented his latest menswear collection for his label JW Anderson in big and bold fashion at Milan Fashion Week.
Creative director of both the eponymous brand and Spanish maison Loewe, fashion followers are never disappointed when Anderson’s ideas and creations come to life. Chunky knitwear, bold colours, polka dots, sharp cuts and a stylish rugby tee set, each of the 51 looks featured in the collection. It seems that Anderson has only the materials found in the preschool classroom, but he still manages to raise it to new heights.
This time, Anderson tried new design exercises, with 3D elements literally popping up on his sweaters and dresses. Although most of the designs are carefully assembled to stand out, one can still find everyday versatility in the rationality.
A mix of long and short sleeves, both thick and thin layers, and deep cut combinations were paired with platform closures, classic handbags and rounded shoes. Although Anderson is known in a different way, this collection still leaves us speechless. We should have seen it coming, but we didn’t. Bravo Mr. Anderson!
In addition to adding a touch of sophistication, each item is carefully crafted for everyday wear. After looking at all 51 pieces, one thing is for sure, and Jonathan Anderson had fun creating the line. Although the collection was inspired by sportswear, it still paid homage to the JW Anderson archive.
After seeing all 51 designs, it’s easy to see why Rihanna decided to rock Anderson’s designs when she performed at Super Bowl LVI. The JW Anderson Spring/Summer 2024 menswear collection is designed for the fearless.
