United Franchise Group acquired business consulting firm Exit Factor in August to become its business consulting division.

Although it’s under the United Franchise Group umbrella, Exit Factor is not a franchise — it helps business owners determine the value of their company and prepare for a sale. Founder Jessica Fiacovic has been a franchisee of UFG-owned Transworld Business Advisor for ten years.
“I have seen many of our business brokerage clients wanting to sell. They didn’t get the full business value they deserved, or they couldn’t sell because they didn’t do some pretty simple things in preparation.” Fiacovic said. She wanted to help those clients build their company’s value, and Exit Factor was born.
She counts UFG CEO Ray Titus as a mentor, and the relationship came naturally.
“It definitely gives us a lot more opportunity,” Tito said. “Of course, the UFG community has many different resources that we wouldn’t have access to as a stand-alone company or brand.”
Exit Factor has been working with Transworld, and plans to branch out its new assets to other brokers.
“We are working to add more resources and content to our programs that will help us produce UFG,” she said.
