This week has been one of the busiest – and biggest – for the fashion industry. First and foremost, Pharrell makes his long-awaited debut as a lead Louis VuittonParis Fashion Week Men’s opens with a big Spring/Summer 2024 runway show. During the tightly packed week, designers Wells Bonner, Louis Gabriel Nucci, Rick Owens and a lot They pulled back the curtain on the merchandise next season, sparking much discussion about where the style (and the industry) is headed next.

Off the runway, Future has been tapped to become Lanvin Lab’s first creative director, and Nana Aganovic and Brooke Taylor have been named co-leaders of Copenhagen brand WOOD WOOD. Meanwhile, Shane Oliver has resigned as design director at Hood by Air and VF Corporation has appointed a new CEO.

Pharrell made his debut at Louis Vuitton

After much anticipation, Pharrell made his debut at the helm of Louis Vuitton, presenting a star-studded and high fashion show for the brand’s next season for Spring/Summer 2024. The show took place on the Pont Neuf bridge in Paris. Each look is transfixed to ethereal choruses.

Paris Fashion Week Men’s is in full swing.

Paris Fashion Week men’s competition is in full swing. And over the past week, we’ve seen several brands unveil forward-thinking collections for the coming seasons.

Among them, Luis Gabriel Nucci’s SS24 collection tells its story. A single person; Bianca Saunders hits Farrah inspired by Jamaican artist Lee “Scratch” Perry, and Wells Bonner showcases her Adidas collaboration with sartorial flair. Additionally, Hed Mayner delivered a unique take on “Boring Clothes,” while Rick Owens showed off his range.

The future Lanvin Lab foundation collection will be a direct innovation.

The latest celebrity to join the ranks of fashion has been hired as the first creative director of Lanvin Lab, a Paris-based fashion house that wants Lanvin to be “a place to dream and play.”

The experimental brand extension holds a number of creative partnerships with established and growing talent around the world. In his leadership role, Lanvin says he will emphasize music, and Future will curate the brand’s first collection. “Daughter of Jeanne Lanvin and muse, Marguerite was an accomplished musician and music inspired the legend of the house,” explains the line’s inspirations.

The inaugural collection, which includes ready-to-wear and accessories for both men and women, is slated to arrive later this year.

Christopher Kane is closing his label.

Copenhagen fashion brand WOOD WOOD named two new creative directors earlier this week. Founded 21 years ago by Brian SS Jensen and Carl-Oscar Olsen, the label now operates under the creative direction of Nana Aganovich and Brooke Taylor.

The two designers will collaborate on bringing the brand to a global audience through both its mainline collections and its sub-label DOUBLE A by Wood Wood.

VF Corporation, parent company to North Face and Super, named a new CEO

VF Corporation, the parent company for brands including Supreme and The North Face, has named a new CEO following the departure of former executive Steve Rendell late last year.

Bracken Darrell will take over the top seat at the company on July 17. The executive has extensive experience in the sector, having previously served as CEO of Logitech for 10 years and at consumer packaged goods imprint, P&G.

Richard Carucci, chairman of VF, said: “We conducted an extensive search and decided that Bracken is ideally suited for this role. He is a transformative and visionary business leader with a strong track record of performance across multiple industries. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated an ability to enhance design capabilities, delight consumers, and drive revenue growth and profitability.

Slam Jam and Umbro sealed long-term partnership plans

Slam Jam and Umbro continue to celebrate the United Kingdom and Italy internationally, with the newly announced long-term partnership.

In the year Founded in 1924, Umbro has long championed British sporting culture through collaborations with brands including Aries, Palace and Patata. With Slam Jam, however, the label is emphasizing reaching a worldwide audience.

For Spring/Summer 2024, the duo will release an international collection that explores Umbro’s UK identity through a historical lens. More collections will follow in the next several years.
