Fashion Week Minnesota has announced its Spring 2023 show lineup. This year’s exhibits highlight a variety of artworks that celebrate heritage, sustainability and community. Each show features a wide range of local designers, creators and businesses.
The shows are set to take place from April 23rd to April 29th at different locations in the Twin Cities, showcasing the diversity of the area. From the Northern Lights exhibit, which celebrates the art and fashion of Minnesota’s indigenous people, to the Coalesce: Voices exhibit, which includes AAPI and BIPOC voices in the fashion community.
More than spectacular art shows, these shows also play a philanthropic role, raising money for organizations such as Lovely’s Sewing and Arts Collective, which provides sewing scholarships to young people.
Minnesota Fashion Week began in 2015, and since its inception, building community and promoting local employment has been a priority. Under the leadership of Sarah Edwards, who has produced some great people, the event has become a cultural institution. Edwards is joined by Sade Young, Mao Xiong and Susan Leppke, a team of artists and entrepreneurs who have helped take the platform to new heights.
Tickets for each event are available on the Minnesota Fashion Week website. Prices range from $25 to $150 and offer never-before-seen creations, pop-ups and a chance to enjoy Minnesota’s vibrant artwork.
