London-based designer Feng Chen Wang continues to expand her design language with one word. The designer constantly injects something new into the Paris Fashion Week schedule, reflecting her culture at every opportunity. Last season, Feng Chen Wang looked at ancient Chinese traditions, while Spring/Summer 2024 recalls imprinted memories and begins anew.

Feng Chen Wang’s latest runway show was hosted on the grounds of Paris’ Lycée Collège Montaigne public school, blessing attendees with personal fans to battle the heat. The live band started the show with slow tunes, quickly transitioning into hits that accompanied the set. Wang’s SS24 show was peppered with natural references – like falling leaves – printed faintly on oversized tees, denim vests, linen trench coats and more. The severe behavior of models in woven hats framed their faces with rainbow-colored beads.

Schoolboy uniforms consisted of asymmetrical collared shirts, extremely baggy jeans, and thin, embellished ties. Wang’s trademark dragon graphic is printed on Danish cores, capturing the beauty of nature with flowing leaves covering the models’ eyes. Finally, the designer presented a complete collection with Nike, consisting of dresses made from woven outerwear, other recycled fabrics and a neckless neon green undershirt. As for shoes, Wang has accessorized the Air Force 1s with dropped leaves, blooming flowers, and tulle decor.
