The Virginia Tech women’s soccer team will get a chance to earn a point in the Commonwealth Games, a matchup against No. 14 Virginia at Thompson Field in Smithfield on Thursday afternoon ET, and admission is free.

Below are five reasons why you won’t want to miss this Thursday’s match.

1. It’s a Commonwealth conflict.
Fans have had the opportunity to watch the lone rivalry between the two schools this season in Biscburgh girls soccer. Smithfield, a Commonwealth Games sponsor, is in its second year of sponsoring the friendly, in-state rivalry between Virginia Tech and Virginia. With 22 individual event points on the line, the school that accumulates 11.5 or more points will be crowned the winner and take home the Commonwealth Clash trophy.
