RAPID CITY, SD – St. Thomas More celebrated homecoming Friday night by hosting fifth-ranked Sturgis.

The Knights led 7-3 at halftime.

But Sturgis came out strong in the third quarter.

Owen Cass threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Tian Buss and the Scoopers took a 10-7 lead.

However, St. Thomas More scored two touchdowns in the final quarter and the Knights outscored the Scopers 20-10.

The Cavs scored two goals, led by Matthew Larson.

Plus Easton Ogle had a pick six late in the game to seal the win for STM.

St. Thomas More moved to 4-1 while Sturgis went 2-3.

Fast City Christian def. Lakota Tech 50-8

HART RANCH – The Fast City Christian football team moved back over .500 on Friday, as the Comets beat Lakota Tech 50-8.

With the win, the Comets are 3-2 on the season.

Lakota Tech is now 0-5.

Rapid City Christian travels to Hill City to play the Rangers on Friday, September 30th.

Lakota Tech will play Belle Fourche in the Prospect Bowl on Sept. 30 in Deadwood.

The game is scheduled to start at 4:00 PM
