Fox Health to launch behavioral health services following $30M Series B round

LGBTQIA+ digital health startup FOOLX Health adds mental and behavioral health services following $30 million Series B funding.

The Boston-based startup announced the funding on Wednesday. The funding will support the company’s newly launched business-to-business (B2B) services and other virtual care offerings.

Behavioral health services include topic-focused support groups, one-on-one counseling and other community features that meet several times a week.

Digital health-focused venture capital fund 7wireVentures led the round with new investor Forsyth Capital and existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners, Express Ventures and Polaris Partner. Lee Shapiro, managing partner of 7wireVentures and former chief financial officer of Livongo Health, will join FOOLX Health’s board of directors, according to the statement.

“Now more than ever, expanding access to universal health care for the millions of Americans who identify as LGBTQIA+ is essential,” Shapiro said in the release. “By combining a network of clinics highly attuned to the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community, using proven content and peer-to-peer relationships, FOOLX Health has pioneered queer and trans care for its members.”

Launched in December 2020, FOOLX Health offers virtual healthcare services that include virtual primary care, hormone replacement therapy, PrEP, care navigation, health content and a virtual community. It also offers a network of queer and trans specialty care providers, the release said.

Meeting the special needs of people who identify as LGBTQIA+ Attention is paid to it. For some major behavioral health operators.
