Art of Fashion (AOF) is TCF’s largest annual fundraiser benefiting San Diego County charities with a focus on women, children, seniors, military families and the disabled. TCF raised funds at the Rancho Santa Fe Consignment Shop and Holiday Tea and Spring Luncheon.

“Since its founding in 1954, Country Friends has donated nearly $15 million to those in need,” President Janet Streep said in a news release. “We are very proud to partner with South Coast Plaza for the 19th year in a row on this annual celebration of fall, fashion and charity.” TCF’s Board of Directors selects charities each October after carefully reviewing funding requests.

Art of Fashion raises money through sponsorships, patrons, a live auction, a lucky drawing featuring designer handbags, apparel and jewelry, as well as 10 percent of sales from South Coast Plaza mini boutiques set up on the Inn’s lawn.

Boutiques participating this year include Camilla, Lanvin, Max Mara, Michael Kors Collection, Oscar de la Renta and Vitra Eyewear.

AOF kicks off with a champagne reception sponsored by Linda Sansone & Associates featuring light bites from French gourmet and the ever-popular photo lounge where guests can “smack” themselves in their fall chic.

The highlight of the event is a professionally staged runway show, followed by a celebratory luncheon on the Inn’s Croquet Lawn, complete with a live auction and lucky draw.

The art of fashion ends with “SIP, Shop, and Support”, the opportunity to unwind with a glass of wine or coffee while browsing the boutiques.

“Couture” sponsors include Les and Deborah Cross, Hohen Jaguar Land Rover, Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa and The Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa, Warren Family Foundation and Wells Fargo Bank. “Fashionista” sponsors are Linda Block, Kaylen Hayward, Teresa King and Torrey Pines Bank.
