GANNI closed the Spring/Summer 2023 edition of Copenhagen Fashion Week with a colorful collection on an outdoor space covered in chalk art.
Entitled “JOYRIDE,” the runway was packed with highlights, including an opening where models raced down the stage on bicycles. Mixed versions of tracks such as “Like G6” accompany the show, which was a celebration of Copenhagen’s high season. Creative director Ditte Reffstrup shared: “My best ideas come to me in the morning. I put my headphones in, turn the music up really loud, ride my bike and cycle to work. Those 15 minutes are absolutely precious. It’s open and my ideas just flow. This collection It’s really about the feeling. She continued, “We called it “Joyride” because Copenhagen is where our hearts are. There’s a feeling about being in the city in the summer. I can’t quite describe it. The energy shines. It really gets your beat.”
The collection served as the Danish label’s official unveiling of the trio’s latest collaboration featuring Levi’s, 66North and Barbour. Highlights include tailored denim labels and chunky mesh tops and skirts, as well as 66 North brand outerwear made from recycled nylon and polyester. In addition to the three partnerships, the runway also featured Ganin’s new t-shirt, which is made by textile fiber innovation Infinna, a fiber woven from textile waste.
