Head Mainer is returning to comfort zones, but in his own unique way. For the Spring/Summer 2024 season, the designer brings his own sensibility to the typically “boring clothes” to Paris Fashion Week.
Items that fall under this category may include simple dresses, chinos, cotton poplin shirts and jumpers. But Meiner chooses to see the beauty of formality and simplicity in dramatic change. When it comes to creating new shapes, Meiner does not shy away from the shape to do so. With the way the pieces fall on the body and the way the garment has its own character, Meiner’s design process is a combination of vintage clothing and his signature layering and cutting of fabric.
In this collection, audience can see a gorgeous dress, long sleeved pouches with hidden pockets inside and also two casual jackets stuck on themselves for a minimal yet layered look to the outfit. Two shirts of different sizes are glued together, and the pieces are deliberately folded. Among the pieces, Hed Mayner collaborates with Reebok on sneakers and oversized multi-pocket technical nylon jackets.
Head Meiner inspires new joy for “boring clothes”, breathing new meaning into used clothes.
