Hawaii Island Community Health Center is hosting the Kona Malama Ohana Health Fair this Saturday, August 20 from 2-6 p.m. This family-friendly event is hosted by Da Braddahs and features live entertainment, fun games and giveaways, free Covid-19 screenings and vaccinations, and Opportunities to share stories with local medical and social service providers.
Malama Ohana Health Fair at Kealakehe Pavilion 74-5214 Keanalehu Dr. in Kailua-Kona.
Organized by the Hawaii State Department of Health and community-based organizations, the purpose of the Kona Malama Ohana Health Fair is to share information about health and COVID-19, and for the community to enjoy a fun afternoon together.
“This has been a long outbreak, but this is an opportunity for people to come together, receive important health information, get their Covid questions answered and have a good time,” said Telly Matagi of the Hawaii State Department of Health.
The Malama Ohana Health Fair offers free eye exams, blood pressure screenings, glucose checks, free bento, gas card giveaways, kickie slipper giveaways, free covid-19 testing and vaccinations, and more from the following organizations:
