ATL-legal-tech-event-non-promo-image-1b-editThere has been lots and lots of activity in the legal tech space of late. And law practice management software providers are doing most of the activity – both acquiring and acquiring.

But each step is an earthquake for the not-so-trivial attorneys for the injured users of the software programs.

So, in this episode of Non-Eventcasts, we brought in four guests who helped us cut through all the noise: Dov Slansky of Litify, Jim Garrett of Assembly Software, Colin Li of Paradigm, and Igor Selizhuk of Smart Advocate.

First things first, though, I invite everyone to make their death predictions about Stranger Things, Chapter 5 (2:41).

Next, we’ll look at all these acquisitions, what they mean for attorneys, and what attorneys should do, if anything (7:10). And, of course, in a world where acquisitions are hot and heavy, we’ve discussed migration and onboarding from one software to another (12:06).

We conclude by trying to address the wide range of integration options available to legal practice management software tools (28:16).

If you’re looking at all the changes happening at Logitech and want to bury your head in the sand, don’t do it just yet. Stick on some AirPods instead, and we’ll help you calm down.

And while you’re here, check out our Practice Management Buyer’s Guide to ensure you have the best system possible.

Jared Correa, a consultant and legal technologist, is the host of the Non-Eventcast, a non-event podcast for lawyers from the Tech-Graphplex beyond the law.
