In front of a crowd of 65,632, members of the Virginia Tech men’s basketball program received their 2022 ACC Championship rings during the first quarter of the Tech-West Virginia football game Thursday night.
Virginia Tech President Dr. Tim Sands honored seven players by handing out championship rings – Hunter Cator, Justin Mutts, Darius Maddox, Sean Pedulla, Lynn Kidd, Camden Johnson And Ben Varga – In addition to the head coach Mike Young. Cator, the ACC Tournament MVP, returned the favor by delivering Sands his championship ring. Meanwhile, Mutts became Tech’s athletic director Whit Babcock With his championship ring.
The memorable night began with Mutts leading “Stadium Scream” before Sandman entered.
As impressive as the ACC championship ring that pushed the Hokies to raise the trophy in Brooklyn. Some of the moments were highlighted in the 39-second video created to unveil the championship ring.
