Julia Fox has the ability to constantly mix up her looks and wear the most diverse pieces. For example, she can go from covering up in bralette and bumster pencil skirts to wrapping herself head-to-toe in yards of silver fabric, showing just an inch of skin and both reading as faux.
Admittedly, the actress’ look at last night’s New York Ballet Fountain Fashion Gala was a bit of a label for her, but it still fits right in with what we’ve come to expect from Fox – unique, edgy and always making them do double takes. On Wednesday, she arrived in a custom Zac Posen dress, complete with a silver blanket and collar. A dress trailed behind her as her hands came off her arms and met at the back of her cap, giving the actress a jiffy pop like she was shaking on the stove. Matching gloves, a small shopping bag and her silver eye makeup finished off this tin foil look.
At the event, Fox, who discontinued the brand in 2019 but continues to make custom appearances, was joined by Posen and her fiance, NYC Ballet principal dancer Harrison Ball. While on the scene, Fox sat at a table covered with flower centers, which had the effect of turning the actress into a suitable subject for a Renaissance painting.
Fox’s appearance at the gala comes less than a week later. A quick trip to Milan for fashion week apparently caught the actress a bit of a cold and she’s spent the last few days in her apartment recuperating. Of course, Fox got bored and took to TikTok to pass the time, asking her fans to give her a status or character to work on the app. The results have her fighting with her estranged husband over spaghetti lemons, trying to find shelter during the apocalypse, and out to steal a friend’s clothes. It was basically a free master class in acting, the kind only Fox can offer.
