The leader
On the field, Kareem Jackson is a veteran safety who will help lead the Broncos’ defense early in the season. Off the field, he is a style icon.
Jackson recently stopped by 303 Magazine for a photo shoot and an interview with Lauren Lippert to discuss his sneakers, sweaters and clothing lines. For the photo shoot, Lippert revealed that Jackson brought several pairs of shoes for the photos, including green Nike Dunks adorned with Swarovski crystals and Louis Vuitton Air Force 1s from his personal sneaker collection.
“Sneakers have always been my favorite,” Jackson told Lippert. I think it kind of came from me because I was playing sports as a kid.
Often seen on his way to the games in luxurious clothes, Jackson works with a team in New York to plan his look for the season. When Lippert creates a custom suit, Jackson first selects the color scheme and then the fabric, which depends on the time of year.
“For me, it’s all about how I feel or where I’m going at that moment,” Jackson told Lippert.
Jackson launched two clothing lines — Fly Guy, a high-end streetwear brand that’s currently on hold during football season, and ThriftStore Jack, a loungewear line that specializes in hoodies. Lippert said Jackson hopes to include ThriftStore Jack in matching sweatpants and more.
“It takes time to do clothing lines and I don’t have time to make it successful, so now it’s something I do for fun,” Jackson told Lippert.
