Kate Middleton flips pancakes in navy wide leg pants.

When we’re flipping pancakes, it’s usually Sunday morning, and we’re wearing a very soft pair of pajamas. But when Kate Middleton does? Well, she looks prettier than us.

Earlier this week, the princess broke out a pair of wide-leg trousers while flipping pancakes and talking to residents at Oxford House Nursing Home. And while her pancake skills may need some work, her outfit was a different story. She wore navy trousers with a matching long-sleeve turtleneck shirt, heeled pumps, a chunky belt and a camel coat.

Kate’s love for certain styles is strong – turtleneck dresses and superga sneakers to name a few – and definitely wide-leg pants, probably because they can be worn any day of the week.

Kate isn’t the latest celeb to ax slim styles: Jennifer Lopez wore baggy pants to rock with stilettos, and Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie Bradshaw wore them in NYC and paired them with a floor-length coat. Obviously, they are a very versatile piece.

Kate’s pants may be custom made for all we know, but these perfect pants from Spanx are a super close match with their relaxed silhouette and rich navy color. They feature molding technology and a soft and comfortable stretch fabric, and a gray pinstripe that’s perfect for meeting your boss. Oh, and Oprah Winfrey once called The Perfect Pants her “favorite.” Do we believe it yet?
