Theft: Lear Road

A man reported his motorcycle stolen on July 27. The motorcycle had been disabled for about a week and was parked at a business. The owner of the business was abducted on July 25 by two men, one of whom he thought was the owner.

Criminal Damage: Moorewood Avenue

On July 24, 2010, a resident was involved in a traffic collision and the car’s windshield and hood were damaged.

Traffic complaint: Miller Road

On July 27, the Norfolk and Southern Railway closed Miller Road for over two hours. The company was accused of blocking tracks by the railroad.

Criminal Damage: Belmar Boulevard

On July 28, a resident reported that his car had been damaged.

OVI: Lake Road

In the year On July 29, police stopped a driver who hit a road sign. The driver was cited for the act and was arrested.

Property damage: Electric Boulevard

A woman reported that her car window was broken while driving in Blazer Park on Aug. 2.

On July 16, officers stopped a driver for speeding and a traffic violation. The driver was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

Theft: Beachdale Drive

A man reported that he paid a contractor to do work on his home on July 18 and did not receive the service. Police tried unsuccessfully to contact the contractor.

Suspicious Activity: Lear Road

In the year On July 20, a resident reported that his car had been hit with eggs and that he suspected the child or the child’s friend. The complainant asks the neighbor to review her security camera to see if anyone is caught in the yard or driveway.

Attack: Lake Road

A person reported being assaulted on July 20.

OVI: Walker Road

On July 21, a woman reported that a wrong-way driver nearly hit her car as she turned onto Walker Road from Parkside Drive. The vehicle is said to be hitting other vehicles all over the road. The vehicle came to a stop after entering the speedway parking lot. The driver was arrested on charges of operating under OVI suspension and driving under suspension.

Stolen vehicle: Jaycox Road

On July 22, someone reported their car stolen from the driveway.
