MEXICO – MU Health Care will open the South Clark Medical Building in Mexico at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday with community leaders.
The building houses the MU Health Care Family Medicine Clinic and Mizzou Urgent Care.
MU Health Care’s family medicine clinic began seeing patients in July, and Mizzou Urgent Care opened in August of this year.
MU Health Care spokesman Eric Maze said Tuesday’s event highlights the company’s opportunity to bring urgency and family to a rural community in need.
“We say MU Health Care is committed to promoting health in rural areas. This kind of highlights our mission,” Maze said.

The South Clark Medical Building is located at 3626 S. Clark Street in Mexico.
Urgent care is one of two general urgent cares for the company.
“We provide the same services to the residents of Audrain County that we provide in our Columbia location in Mexico,” Maze said.
According to the past press releaseThe urgent care clinic offers X-rays, lab services, breathing treatments, IV hydrations and medications, and asthma and respiratory care.
Urgent care is open daily from 8am to 6pm.

The Family Clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
MU Family Medicine Clinic features community medicine providers Dr. Diane Jacoby and nurse practitioner Regina Hill.
Maze also said Tuesday will bring an opportunity for members of the Mexican community to meet with local health care leaders and physicians to celebrate the continuity of local medical care.
However, the expansion of rural health services does not end there.
