Nia Health raises €3.5M in seed funding.


Nia HealthA Berlin, Germany-based digital solutions company focused on providing treatment and support to people suffering from chronic skin conditions has raised €3.5M in seed funding.

The round was led by Hi-Tech Gründerfonds. Other investors include Addsso Ventures, Ventura BioMed Investors, Dr. Kurt Schwarz Fund.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its market share in German-speaking countries, launch in other EU countries in the next 24 months, prepare for entry into the US market, and develop AI-based technology that integrates more machine vision. Language processing and teledermatology.

Co-founded by Oliver Welter and Tobias Seidl, Nia Health is a spin-off of the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin that develops a continuous digital support clinical diagnosis and treatment system for patients with chronic skin conditions. With a machine vision approach, Nia Health enables accurate documentation of disease and treatment progress and thus optimized treatment. The company works closely with German patient associations and leading medical professionals and has already won prestigious clients from the insurance and pharmaceutical industries.
