Box score
ST. George, Utah – Coming off a 2-0 shutout on Friday night, the NM State women’s soccer program is back in action to face Utah Tech on the road Sunday afternoon for a matchup featuring the top two seeds in the Western Athletic Conference.
Much of the first half was even – both teams saw good scoring opportunities, but both defenses struggled to find goals as they went wide. That was until the 33rd minute when Utah Tech found the back of the net for the first points of the game. That’s when things started to get out of hand.
Two more goals by the Trailblazers, including an own goal by the Aggies, gave Utah Tech a 3-0 lead. Holiday McKinsey He scored a goal in the 55th minute, cutting the deficit to two, but that was all the Aggies could muster offensively as they ended up falling 3-1.

52′ | In the second half, the Aegs continued to struggle defensively. Ten yards from the halfway line, Emily Garbett’s free kick from the right-hand side gave the substitutes a 3-0 lead.
55′ | Shortly after the Trailblazers scored, Holiday McNeese She scored her second goal of the weekend and seventh of the season. Thalia Chaverria He got the ball across the midfield. Maya Hammock in position. Hammack continued to direct a shot from about 20 yards out to McNeese who found the bottom right corner of the net. The Aggies are now up 3-1.
