Get ready for a Big 12 battle when the Texas Tech Red Raiders and Oklahoma State Cowboys square off at Boone Pickens Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 pm ET. Oklahoma State is struggling after a win, while Texas Tech could be reeling from a loss.
The Red Raiders came up short against the Kansas State Wildcats last week, falling 37-28. RB Xavier White had a solid effort for the losing team as he caught nine passes for one TD and 120 yards. That receiving effort made it the first game White posted more than 100 yards.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma State is coming off a solid 36-25 win over the Baylor Bears last week. Oklahoma State QB Spencer Sanders was slinging passes for one TD and 181 yards on 29 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 75 yards.
Texas Tech is expected to lose its next by 9. Those who were burned by picking up last week’s broadcast may note that the team hasn’t yet dropped back-to-back games in the broadcast this season.
Texas Tech is now 3-2 and the Cowboys are 4-0. Two offensive numbers to consider before the game begins: The Red Raiders enter the game averaging the fourth-most passing yards in the nation at 362.4. Oklahoma State is not very good, but they are no chumps, either: entering the competition with an average of 314.3 passing yards per game, a good 16 of the best in the nation.
