PITTSBURGH — The Pitt Panthers lost their starting defensive tackle on the same day some key defensive linemen returned from injury.
David Greene, one of the team’s leading rushers, went down with an injury in the second quarter of Georgia Tech’s opener against Georgia Tech. He was attended by coaches and left under his own power.
Green has been one of the Panthers’ most productive defensive linemen this season. He recorded a sack and a tackle for loss before leaving the game.
The Panthers were fortunate to have Devin Daniels back after missing the last two weeks due to injury. Deslin Alexander and Habakkuk Baldonado are back in the lineup after missing extended periods with injuries of their own.
