I put up a Q&A box on Instagram, but some questions are better answered in longer format so I thought I’d address them here! I’ll get a few of the same questions I’ve answered before – so before diving into new questions from this week, I’ll link to those below.

Q: Three beauty products you can’t live without?
A: This face cream, this eyeliner and this all-day lipstick.
Q: Are you back in NYC permanently? How much time do you spend there?
A: This question comes with a lot to understand. We are in Florida full time but try to spend 2-3 months a year in NYC. We continue to toy with the idea of returning, but we haven’t made any decisions yet. There are so many things I love about Florida – the location, the simplicity, the pace of life, the winter weather! On the other hand, there are many things I miss about NYC – the energy, endless restaurants, unique stores, and museums, and of course, my friends. Hopefully we can find a balance that works for us!
Q: What is your favorite pair of sunglasses to wear?
A: This will always be an evolving answer, but right now I have to say my Linda Farrow Dunaway sunglasses. You can see my full list of daily favorites here!
Q: Is a work bag good under $500?
A: Well, my go-to travel/work bag for many years has been this tote. It has a secure zip top, is super durable, fits my laptop and everything else I need, has so many ways to wear it and doesn’t feel bad about putting it on the floor. But that bag is very casual, so if you’re in an environment where the bag is functional and needs to be worn to a meeting, I’d probably opt for this bag. It’s sturdy, has a generous shoulder drop, lots of compartments, fits a laptop and has a secure center zip!
Q: Did you start this page for fun?
A: I did!! I started this site in early 2010 and didn’t see it as a way to start a career, but the industry has evolved and here we are!
Q: What are your favorite basics?
Answer: I talk about that a lot here, here and here. Overall, my favorite everyday jeans are these , favorite tanks are this and this , and my current favorite sweater is this .
Q: Coats you’re seeing for fall?
Answer: So you know I am a coat collector!! I was looking at this and this. Both are major investment pieces so I haven’t committed to them yet. You can follow along here to see where I found all my Fall/Winter favorites.
Q: Wedding guest outfit suggestions please?!
A: I love this paired with some statement earrings for an end of summer wedding, this for a black tie affair, and this one that goes fast (I wore it to an event last weekend)!
