ATLANTA – Rapper Young Thug has been in the Fulton County Jail for more than a year and still has time to release a new album.

The album, “Business Is Business,” was released on June 23 at midnight with 15 tracks and features from Drake, Lil Gotti, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage and more.
Produced by Grammy-nominated producer Metro Boomin, the project appears to feature a jailhouse phone call between Young Thug and Drake.
The album cover shows a young thief in court with other real people, perhaps referring to the present Young Slim Life Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act Case.

This album comes a week after friend, rapper and former co-accused Guna released his album “Gifts and Curses”.
Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffrey Williams, was arrested in May 2022 along with 26 others on criminal charges, saying YSL is a violent street gang that has committed multiple murders, shootings and carjackings over the past decade. Prosecutors said the rappers promoted the movement through songs and social media.
In a December 2022 statement, Guna said that when he joined YSL in 2016, he didn’t consider it a group, but a group of people from metro Atlanta who shared common interests and artistic aspirations. YSL’s focus was entertainment — rap artists who wrote and performed music that extolled and glorified urban life in the black community.
Guna says he values his association with YSL Music and always will.
The young thug is in jail. The trial has begun, but jury selection is still incomplete, although it was scheduled to begin in January.
