Red Cross Runway: Fashion for a Cause.

Sydneysiders looking for high street fashion at affordable prices can grab a bargain for a good cause this month at a mega pop-up shop hosted by the Australian Red Cross.

The “Fashion for a Cause” event will take over Paddington Town Hall for three days from May 26 to 28 and promises a range of quality products from $10.

All funds raised support the Australian Red Cross to deliver its humanitarian programs, with a second pop-up in Melbourne from 4-6 August.

Australian Red Cross head of retail Richard Wood said the events were a major fundraiser for the organization and he was encouraging people to get bargains.

“When you support the Australian Red Cross, you are supporting us by bringing people and communities together in times of crisis,” Mr Wood said.

“Whether you give to the Red Cross through migration support services, emergency and disaster relief or our international and local community programs, you are making a difference to those who need it most.

“These events are a fun way for people to get involved and support this work, along with a few new high-end fashion pieces.”

Pop Up Sydney is supported by the City of Sydney, with Lord Mayor, Clover Moore encouraging local residents and visitors to support the event.

“We know fast fashion is hurting the planet, so we’re being more sustainable by buying recycled or overstocking our major retailers,” she said.

“Get out, enjoy the city and enjoy shopping in sustainable Red Cross fashion!”
