Not that there was ever any doubt Shania Twain. Still got it.

On the heels of releasing her first single since 2017 “Waking in a Dream” The country queen of pop sat down with Bustle to break down some of her most iconic looks throughout her career.

And I don’t even know how they narrowed it down…she has a lot, that’s for sure. Next to Dolly Partonit’s hard to imagine a rural artist who was so famous for his fashion and taste apart from his music.

Let’s take a look at some of your favorites:

In 1993 Shania Twain. Album cover

Shania started the gap in 2011.

The album cover shows her standing next to a real fire in the snow with a real wolf because she wants to introduce herself to the world as a real Canadian:

“Early on in my recording career, I felt it was important to be my most authentic self and present myself to the public as a Northern Canadian woman.

So I wanted to do a photo shoot in the snow, which is a lot of how I spent my youth. And I’m wearing a mukluk that my grandmother made me and a matching winter coat. And believe me, it was very cold, so I needed it. And that is a real wolf, and that is a real fire.

And trust me, with photo shoots, you don’t normally have real fire, so I wanted this to be very accurate and it really was.

1995: “My Anyone” music video

Of course, she’s wearing an all-jeans outfit in this video (it’s actually called a Canadian tuxedo), and she still has a 24-inch waist, so she jokes that I love this shot.

“I loved this video, because I still had a 24-inch waist. My waist was girded, it was the highest waist at that time. The wardrobe came out of my own closet, a denim vest and a pair of jeans.

It’s a little muscle shirt underneath, ribbed, and I just took the scissors and cut it off, because I thought I should enjoy my midsection in this video.

If you get it, send me a message Shania…

She also loves horses and borrowed actor Bo Derek’s chaps for her wardrobe, which is great:

1999: “This Doesn’t Surprise Me Much” music video

In possibly one of her most iconic looks of all time, Shania just remembers her favorite tiger and wants her stylists to create an all-out tiger outfit for this video.

It was also her first time wearing a wig in a video.

“This video was probably one of the best learning experiences I’ve had in making a video and working with a costume designer on how to move in fashion.

I needed stretch, I love leopard print, so we settled on a stretch velvet leopard print fabric. And we decorated it with a lot of red, ruby red, so I wanted the lips to match the ruby red.

And this is the first video I’ve ever worn a wig on, it was really fun, if you think it’s my own hair, it’s not.

1993: “Man! I feel like a woman” music video

One of her biggest outfits, Shania says she wanted a very different look for this shoot, taking inspiration from menswear to get the right interpretation of the song.

“Mark Bower designed and sewed it himself, even the corset, the short-sleeved boots, all this beautiful satin and the high collar.

And what I wanted for this is that I wanted a very masculine presence for my woman in the video and I wanted it to be more accurate. I wanted a man shirt, short skirts, it was a very tiring video, but the clothes were too tight.

Another great lesson I learned doing this video, because it’s not stretched out in satin or a corset, I think the idea is, it’s to get you in and push you in, but I was really struggling with that.

2022: Coachella performance with Harry Styles

Shania takes the stage. With pop star Harry Styles At Coachella last year, they both donned full-length outfits.

Apparently, it wasn’t even planned, but of course, they nailed the clothes and the performance, which Shania says is one of the highlights of her life.

“Okay. I’m going to be on stage with Harry Styles and I’m like, ‘Man! I feel like a girl.’

And we seem to have already agreed to the fashion, but we haven’t. I already asked him: ‘What are you wearing?’ I told him. You know, like anyone would. And in the last look it didn’t come back to me, and I chose this one.

And it was perfect with Harry! And I really like this little throwback. It’s Mick Jagger-ish. So we were on the same page in every way.

I can only hope that one day I’m in my 50s and still rocking a full sequin dress like her:

Shania talks about her white dress at the 1999 Grammy’s, her pink faux doe leather dress at the 1999 CMA Awards, her 2012 Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas residency, and her 2003 Super Bowl halftime performance.
