Sofia Richie had a special look for their wedding.

The model, who married music executive Elliot Grange on April 22 at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France, said he wanted to stay “youthful” but also “ageless and classic.”

On Wednesday class Who wears what With Hillary Kerr podcast, Ritchie’s stylist Liat Baruch talks about helping the bride choose the perfect outfit for her big day and the inspiration behind the look.

Baroque opened the podcast by noting how Richie’s flawless wedding style caught the attention of the fashion world.

“It was crazy when everyone started accepting our work — mine and hers — the way we expressed it,” she said. “It was not contrived. Not really understood. They’ve got exactly what we do, which is that when it hits right and hits the zeitgeist, you can’t control it. And that just hit.”

Richie’s longtime friend and stylist also opened up about the memories they’re trying to find. “We were trying to be uplifting but also young, feminine, aspirational but also attainable,” says Baroch. “A little bit of everything while keeping it timeless and classic and we did that. And so she did. There was constant dialogue and real collaboration.

She added: “She was very clear about what she wanted and how she wanted to look. Very vague lust, not very conservative. She’s very good at it and she’s really focused on how she wants to dress in terms of style and lifestyle in general, and we’re really in tune with that.”

Baroch, who has been close friends with Ritchie’s sister Nicole Ritchie for 25 years, told how they focused on making the bride look beautiful. “We made Sophia feel amazing,” she said.

He continued: “Sophia and Elliot’s appearance and overall beauty had to match their love, their youth and their scenery – they got married in the most beautiful place in the world – they all had to know how to live together.” History and we did that. There was zero tremors, it was a lot of fun.
