Southlake Carroll announced three-star quarterback Graham Knowles’ commitment to Georgia Tech on Sunday.

Knowles, the No. 71 quarterback in 247Sports.com’s national 2024 rankings, chose Georgia Tech over scholarship offers from Memphis, UConn, UTSA and Colorado State. The Yellow Jackets were the second program to offer him in April.

Knowles, a 6-7, 220-pound signal caller, hasn’t even started at the varsity level for a full season. He started the final 11 games of Carroll’s 2022 season after quarterback Kaden Anderson (Wyoming signee) suffered an injury-ending injury against Keller in October. Knowles finished his junior season with 1,864 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and 3 interceptions to lead Carroll (13-1) to the 6A Div. II Regional Finals.

Knowles — the son of Mark Knowles, once the No. 1 doubles tennis player in the world — will be the latest Carroll quarterback to play FBS football. Anderson, Quinn Evers (Ohio State/Texas), Chase Daniels (Missouri), Greg McElroy (Alabama), Kenny Hill (Texas A&M/TCU) and current head coach Riley Dodge (North Texas/McNeese State), among others.
