Summer is over and fall has begun and students are swapping out their tanks for sweaters, shorts for jeans, and shoes for boots.
Chris Marsicovetere, a freshman accounting major, said he prefers a more casual and comfortable look like other college students.
“I like wearing a hat, sweatpants and jeans,” Marsikovetere said. “Maybe some nice sneakers or boots or a cool denim jacket.”
The fall color scheme consists of dark tones and he says he likes to have it.
“You can’t go wrong with Benny,” says Marciovetere.
Freshman biology major Matt Allen said he likes to layer their fall clothes as long as they aren’t “too flashy.”
“I really like wearing jeans, and I like cool jackets, especially my orange jacket,” Allen said.
He said that he was not so happy to wear his UGG slippers at the end, but now he is very happy to wear them.
Nylon Fashion says ’90s grunge is one of the biggest fashion trends for fall 2022. Items like chunky shoes, ripped jeans and knitted sweaters are the next trend.
Allure Magazine says the trendy makeup look for this fall includes a sun-kissed blush, blushy eyes and a red lip.
Allure says the “winged” eyeshadow look, the familiar winged eyeshadow shape on the outer eye, will take on a “less dramatic” look this fall.
“Since wings are popular year-round — and basically forever — France is looking forward to soft-covering looks this fall,” says Allure.

Kathryn Jones, a freshman biology major, said she’s a fan of the cooler weather and that flannels are making a comeback this year.
“My fall wardrobe is like flannel, cargo pants and a hat,” Jones says. “Lots and lots of hats.”
Jones agrees with Nylon magazine that grunge fashion is “definitely coming back.”
“I’m a little frustrated with it because I don’t want to look like I’m just following a trend, but I’m seeing a lot of people bringing that look back,” Jones said.
Most importantly, Jones says she wants people to know that dark sunglasses are key to any fall makeup look.
No matter what happens this fall, students are expressing themselves in their fall outfits.
