ST. CLOUD – The St. Cloud Tech Tiger swimming and diving team finished in the top eight on Tuesday against the Alexandria Cardinals, winning 102-84.
The loss is Alexandria’s first of the season (3-1).
Brooklyn Millward (200 freestyle), Grace Urke (200 IM), Gisela Haskamp (50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke) and the 200 freestyle relay team of Millward, Haskamp, Alanna Gunter and Emma Buger earned first place for the Cardinals.
Lauren Hornstein (1m dive), Urke (100 butterfly), Millward (100 freestyle), Summer Overland (500 freestyle) and Haskamp, Urke, Hannah Hoff and Reyna Holm (200 medley) and Guenther, Overland, Millward, Urke (400). freestyle relay) took second place.
Alexandria and St. Cloud Tech were two of the top five finishers in the 2021 Central Lakes Conference Championship Tournament (with St. Cloud Tech placing fourth and Alexandria winning).
The Cardinals are on the road again Saturday for the West Fargo Invitational beginning at 10:30 a.m.
