New Delhi, Sep 26, 2010 (FBC) The recent debate on moonlighting in the IT industry has highlighted the growing demand for skilled talent in the ICT sector. The global shortage of tech talent is fueled by a rapidly changing technology landscape.
Companies are looking to develop the best technology skills to not only improve the user and customer experience, but also to explore new avenues of growth.
As companies anticipate the need for talent and learn to be the most sought-after attribute among employees, startups and organizations with skills are quickly emerging to bridge the gap.
Rishi Kemka, Founder and CEO, MindBox India, a leading STEM accredited organization dedicated to creating functional literacy in students aged 6-18 years said, “As the world changes, so do the skill needs. Technology is at the center of everything. Future children today are here They need to develop competencies and skills around the area that will help them excel in their chosen career.”

As telcos in India prepare to launch 5G services, it will give us faster communication networks, but it will have a big impact on many other sectors that need fast, low-latency and reliable networks to operate. This in turn leads to increased demand for skilled talent.
Telecom Sector Skills Council (TSSC) CEO Arvind Bali said that the launch of 5G in India will enable the adoption of new technologies in various sectors and “it is critical that the graduate population is skilled and job ready”.
“TSSC has developed courses in cutting-edge technologies like drone technology, 5G, AI/ML, etc. and has established several centers of excellence and training institutes across the country to meet this demand,” said Bali.
As companies look to the growth-engines of the future, they need talent that will help them stay ahead of the curve. The need for future skills has never been felt as much in India as it is now, with many disruptive technologies impacting everything from banking to pharma to manufacturing and more.
