But most of all, the show presented is unlike any other. Fashion by gossip girl It was – and still is – unmatched. It became the highlight of the show. Not only do many of the main characters’ jobs and social lives revolve around fashion-forward locations, but the producers were able to make each episode feel like a runway because it was just energy. gossip girl.

From New York City streetwear to the hottest luxury designers; gossip girl It had everything, and the show’s lookbook hasn’t been matched in a TV show since. Even the grunge era of the likes of Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), Serena Van Der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Mommsen) was hot in the early 2000s, but is still prevalent today. Even the HBO reboot gossip girlA candle can not hold with the original, with the whole plot and content and, of course, fashion. Here are the 10 best fashion moments from the beginning gossip girlLevel.

Movie video of the day

10 Chuck Scarves

Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) has some of the best looks on the show. His precocious, bad-boy fashion choices were always stylish and put together to reflect his personality. Chuck is often seen wearing bold suits, ascots, pocket squares and clutches, bringing a sense of wealth and class to the streets of the Upper East Side. However, his most famous accessory was his slippers. A good scarf ties any look together and matches the character. Like his signature J. A press patchwork scarf was once seen.

9 Chuck and Blair as a couple

King and Queen of the Upper East Side. Despite their ups and downs, at least Chuck and Blair (Leighton Meester) are the ultimate OTP. Both have stellar designer wardrobes and as a couple, their bold, preppy looks stand out among other characters. Like Chuck, Blair always dresses to impress, sporting bright colors, flashy prints, designer bags and shoes, and of course, a headband to match. Chuck and Blair always look Vogue-ready when they’re together.

8 Serena and Blair’s matching backless dresses

Who doesn’t love a coordinated look with their product? In season one episode four, Blair and Serena (Blake Lively) steal a bunch of clothes after Serena is accused of stealing Blair’s spotlight from a photo shoot. Following the bad feedback, B. and S. decided to do their own photo shoot all over NYC. The duo sported red and blue backless dresses by Abigail Lorick, paired with skinny belts and gold pumps. The episode is a very memorable scene, and watching the show’s two main characters walk around town in matching outfits gives a real sense of Blair and Serena’s friendship.

7 Serena’s wedding dress

Of course, Serena van der Woodsen’s wedding dress will be very beautiful and high fashion. Better yet, she showed off her signature color gold in the show. Dan Humphrey (Penn Bagley), Serena wears a glam George Chakra gown that completely commands the room during her mini wedding. It looks like the gown was made for her and she manages to capture her personality and fashion sense in one gorgeous outfit.

6 Blair’s red ruffled gown

In the second episode of the fourth season, Chuck and Blair have a falling out even though they still love each other. Chuck is in Paris, staying with another woman, planning to leave and change his identity, after Serena finds out he plans to propose before things fall apart when he convinces Blair to kidnap him at the train station and return to NYC. The mood in the train station is serious and the delivery is beautiful, as is the red, sequined Oscar de la Renta gown Blair wears. It’s one of the most stunning gowns Blair wears on the show and this one would definitely be at the top of the list, especially if it’s a list of Blair’s best fashion.

5 Jenny’s grunge style

Of the entire cast, Jenny’s (Taylor Momsen) style was the most dynamic. She starts out as a shy high school student who simply wants to fit in, so most of her fashion is a copy of what Blair and her group of friends wear. But later she finds herself in a series. Instead of mimicking the typical preppy fashion of the Upper East Side, she began to pursue her fashion career with an edgy, grunge style, which consisted of many DIY accessories, as well as creating her own designs. While gossip girl Well-loved for the high-fashion, New York vibe, Jenny’s style is unique and a welcome breath of fresh air.

4 Upper East Side Coat Collection

After a steamy summer, it cools down in NYC. So Gossip Girl’s shoot needs a lot of Fall/Winter outfits. There’s been no shortage of fashionable cool-weather looks on the Upper East Side, but the catalog really takes the cake. From leather jackets to Burberry trench coats, everyone’s favorite New Yorkers stay warm in style. Honestly, some of the best and most easily recreated looks from the show came from a variety of fall/winter styles. Like Jenny’s mint trench coat and accent purple bag from season one or Blair’s bright green winter coat paired with bright yellow pumps.

3 Blair’s wedding dress

gossip girl The series has seen many weddings in its run. And even though it was rushed and messy, Chuck and Blair’s wedding was very romantic and special. It’s been a long time coming for this unique, on-and-off pairing, so of course Blair’s wedding dress had to be just as unique and special as the nuptials. For the Central Park wedding, Blair wore an icy blue, lace dress by Elie Saab. Blending both classic glamor and high fashion, Blair’s character is picture perfect. Chuck compliments her dress in a white tux and – just like their streetwear couple – they go perfectly together. If anyone could take the classic white wedding dress and make it fashionable, it’s Blair Waldorf.

2 Serena’s wedding dress

Although Lily van der Woodsen (Kelly Rutherford) and Bart Bass (Robert John Burke) are a dubious couple at best, their wealth and status combine to make for an extravagant wedding. Lily’s dress was really beautiful, but the real star of the show was Serena. She wore a show-stopping yellow tiered, striped Ralph Lauren gown with simple floral prints. The dress’ long, silhouette, key accents and high neckline make this dress something few people can pull off, but Serena van der Woodsen is definitely one of them. She paired it with a set of little black gloves, making it the most elegant wedding look from the series so far.

1 Blair school uniforms

When people think gossip girl, Blair, Serena, and the other students might be the first thing that comes to mind when Constance eats yogurt and spills tea on the steps of the Met. B., S. and their group of followers are known to elevate the school uniform. However, Blair led the pack on this front. From bright solid colored tights, to designer bags and coats, Blair brought an unrivaled sense of pizazz to her school look. And of course, you can’t forget Blair Waldorf’s signature headband. Blair had a headband to match any outfit, and the accessory became a signature part of her character and led to the off-screen headband trend of the time. School uniforms – like everything else – were made cool by Blair Waldorf.
