The Venice International Film Festival is shaping up to be a real feast for the eyes, as celebrities hit the red carpet in bold and unconventional looks.
Actor Timothée Chalamet may have bought the title of best dressed of all time for his first appearance. Bones and all In a show-stopping, red backless Haider Ackerman jumpsuit.
Already known for his sardonic prowess, this young actor turns every preconceived notion on its head in this bold and dramatic look. The next day he arrived at another show dressed head-to-toe in Celine, down to oversized cargo shorts, his dress sense as versatile as his acting.

Another head turner is Taylor Russell who walked the runway with Chalamet. It would have been easy to show off in that look, but Russell dressed herself in a full, emerald green Balenciaga Couture gown.
Elsewhere, several actors also helped change expectations by walking the red carpet in masculine tuxedos. Immensity Star Luana Giuliani ditched the jacket, Paola Minaccioni wore all black with a corset top. Rosabel Laurenti, meanwhile, chose to wear an all-red satin dress for the outing.
As well as many classic black gowns, lace over lace in Dolce & Gabbana, or deeply structured like Isabelle Huppert in Balenciaga, other celebrities used the occasion to present some serious colours. Francesca Sofia Novello looked peachy in a pink-toned Rami Al Ali, while Jodie Turner-Smith wore an electric blue custom dress by Harbison. Turner-Smith has been gaining quite a reputation for her style during these awards season, and this latest look only adds to her fashion chops.

Drusilla Foer, meanwhile, looked stunning in a lemon yellow kaftan gown by Valentino, while Penelope Cruz went for a Chanel dress with bright pink florals.
And it wasn’t just the ladies who broke the black dress code, perhaps the most memorable dash of color came courtesy of Mariano Di Vaio in a turquoise Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo. A savvy style move that complements his wife Eleonora Brunacci in crystal black Dolce & Gabbana.
