SALEM – The Columbiana County Community Action Agency is offering women’s health care in Salem starting Tuesday.
The new CAACC Health Center in Salem, located at 2376 Southeast Blvd., will open in two days.
“Our new health center in Salem has been a goal for years, and we are thrilled to be open to the public.” There is wonder. “We are excited to offer women’s health and medical services such as physicals, pain visits, gynecology and chronic pain treatment at this new site.”
Dr. Christy Johnson, OB-GYN, and Dr. Maria Ryhal, family practice, see women of all ages in the new office.
Johnson has been with CAACC Health Centers since 2018, and works on women’s health from adolescence to menopause. She has 19 years of experience in office gynecology, providing practice and obstetrics and gynecology surgeries.
Ryhal has 30 years of experience in Columbiana County, previously with offices in Lisbon and Salem. She previously served as the Medical Director of CAACC. She also worked as a family physician in quality improvement and palliative care at Salem Regional Medical Center. She provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages.

CAACC Health, Behavioral Health and Dental Centers are federally qualified health centers with five locations in East Lisbon and Salineville.
All CAACC centers are open to all county residents regardless of ability to pay.
“We can see patients with Medicare and Medicaid and accept most private insurance. And a sliding fee scale based on family income is offered to the uninsured.” The winner has been announced.
