Since 1892, Fairchild Media Group’s photographers and editors have covered key moments in fashion and the worlds beyond, from celebrities to executives, dressed in fashion in cities around the world to visit the latest hot spots. .
During the upcoming New York Fashion Week, fashion enthusiasts will get an up-close look at Fairchild’s extensive archive with the opening of The Fairchild Museum, a two-day pop-up exhibition at AG Studios in Lower Manhattan.
Located at 52 Walker Street, the museum highlights historical fashion, footwear and beauty moments in three immersive rooms.
Part one, “Style Retrospective,” features 30 archival photographs of celebrities, designers and brands. Part two, “The Best of Now,” will feature custom items from today’s most forward-thinking designers and brands, and the exhibit will conclude with The Style Shop, which will offer limited-edition products for purchase. A percentage of the proceeds from all WWD Shop product sales will benefit the chosen charity. The exhibition includes audio experiences narrated by FMG editors in each room and a virtual component hosted in partnership with the Digital Village at WWD Metaverse.
