The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) has announced its intention to contract with the following External Quality Review Organization (EQRO) after completing a review of its proposals: Health Services Consulting Group, Inc.

The EQRO Request for Proposals for the Medicaid Managed Care Program was released on October 28, 2021. Proposals are due January 4, 2022. The Department received a proposal from the Carolinas Center for Medical Excellence, a health services consulting group, Inc. and Island Peer Review Organization, Inc. (m/b/a IPRO).

The EQRO contractor provides comprehensive data and analysis and evaluation of services provided by contracted Medicaid managed care organizations (MCO), dental prepaid ambulatory health plans (PAHP), and behavioral health prepaid inpatient health plans. (PIHP) for eligible Medicaid enrollees.

This notice only informs you of the terms of the contract. Contract awards are not final until the 14-day objection period has expired and any objections have been resolved. The protest period begins on September 1, 2022 and ends on September 14, 2022.
