BRAWLEY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) – Brawley Mayor George Nava invites the community to come and celebrate the grand opening of his new business.
Alpha Employment is a testing lab where people come in to take a drug test for employment, as well as provide background checks, alcohol testing and fingerprinting.
Nava said it was a daunting task to embark on this new project, which took five months to get up and running.
Friends, family and the community came to celebrate what Nava called the “culmination” of all the hard work he put into his new job.
As well as Alpha being one of the many businesses to open in the town of Brawley, new businesses are also on the way to create more employment opportunities in the town.
Indie Dwell is a new manufacturing facility that will provide modular homes for the city of Brawley and employ up to 200 people.
Quick Quack Car Wash is coming soon to Brawley, America Travels is also a new truck stop on Highway 111.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was held Thursday night and is now open to the public.
