The Tech men finished sixth at the NCAA Championships

Austin, Texas – The Texas Tech men’s track and field team finished 6th with a score of 34.5.^Th at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championships Friday night at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

The story of the night for Tech right off the bat was the boys 4×100. Group of Adam Clayton, Courtney Lindsay, Don Dre Swint. Lindsey became the second Red Raider to win an NCAA outdoor title in the 100m, joining Divine Oduduru, who held the school record of 9.86 (2019 NCAA Championships).

400m hurdles Caleb Dean Finished 4^Th to first-team All-American honors (1-8 placers) with a time of 48.56. The duo of Lindsay and Jones scored the final points for TTU as they went 2-3 in the 200m (+0.9w). Lindsey finished 2^Th With a time of 19.86, Jones was hot on his heels in 19.87, both PBs. Both times are number 3 and number 4 in tech history. For Jones, a native of the Bahamas, his time as No. 2 fell short. He is now the No. 2 and No. 3 time holder of the Bahamas.
