Ruston, the. – The Roadrunners led the game offensively, but Lady Texter’s penalty kick was the deciding factor as UTSA suffered a 2-1 loss to Louisiana Tech at Robert McCawthers Field.

The Roadrunners led the Lady Texters with 21 shots (12 on net) to 14 shots (four on target). UTSA had seven corner kicks while La Tech was awarded five. Anna Sutter Lead the Roadrunners with four shots (two on goal).

In the first half, the Roadrunners dominated the field, scoring 11 shots (eight on goal) and four corners. The Lady Texans had four shots (two on net) and a corner kick.

In the 9th minute, a goal by Macy Geltmeier put Louisiana Tech ahead, giving the Lady Techsters a 1-0 lead. This sparked an offensive outburst from the Roadrunners. Over the next 30 or so minutes, UTSA fired nine shots, holding two in that span.

UTSA’s record now sits at 6-4-3 overall (1-2-2 in C-USA action), while Louisiana Tech’s overall record improves to 4-7-3 (2-2-2 in C-USA action).
