The owner and employees of a Miami-Dade business are speaking out after three intruders who stole work equipment early Monday morning were caught on camera.

The incident happened at the IQ Restoration warehouse on Northwest 74th Street near Doral.

Employee Laura Chacon said the criminals took more than $20,000 worth of dehumidifiers.

Security cameras captured the trio breaking a glass door and running into the building in dark clothing, including hats and gloves.

Chacon said it appeared the criminals were out to steal the giant dehumidifiers, which cost more than $2,000 each.

“You see three guys in the videos, they look very young, they break through the front door,” Chacon said. “They knew what they wanted. They went straight to the warehouse and never saw laptops, computers or even tablets.”

The video shows the thieves removing the machines one by one.

It’s a huge loss for a business that provides mold and water remediation services.

“They took dehumidifiers and air purifiers and the most expensive ones that we had, they packed them up and they took 11 of them,” Chacon said. “The situation is very sad and disappointing for us.”

At one point, the video shows police responding to alarms at the business, but at that point the thieves appear to drive away in a white van.

“It’s sad because we’re a small business that wants to improve and move forward. But we couldn’t and now this. It’s a big success,” said owner Jose Centeno in Spanish.

Miami-Dade police confirmed they are investigating the incident and looking for those suspects.
