EVESHAM – Virtua Health is among the companies and organizations recognized on Forbes’ 2022 list of Best State Employers. This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., a statistics portal and industry standard provider. The award list was announced on August 24 and can be viewed on the Forbes website.

Based on a sample of approximately 70,000 Americans who work for companies with more than 500 employees in the U.S., America’s Best-by-State Employers 2022 was identified by an independent survey. The assessment is based on recommendations from employees who were asked to directly or indirectly rate their willingness to recommend their respective employer to their friends and family.

This recognition marks Virtua Health’s fourth consecutive time on the list (now in its fourth year). Virtua has been named a “Best Place to Work” by the Philadelphia Business Journal 16 times, and Baker Hospital Review lists Virtua among the top places to work in healthcare.

The Marlton-based not-for-profit health system operates five hospitals and more than 300 other care facilities.

Virtua is known for its “WE Culture” established by President and CEO Dennis W. Pullin, FACHE. WE’s culture is focused on understanding, respecting and empowering every Virtua associate, and he guides the 14,000-person nonprofit health system’s people-first philosophy.

This commitment begins with the Virtua Board of Directors. Pullin enlisted a nationally respected IDE (Inclusion, Diversity and Equity) leader to facilitate board discussions. Likewise, Virtua’s senior management team all participate in training in unconsciousness, cultural awareness, and more.

Virtua is also specific to labor relations groups called labor societies. These safe spaces to share, listen, and learn include: Black and African American Colleague Community, Women at Virtua, OUT at Virtua (for LGBTQ+ colleagues and partners), and Virtuasia.

“Virtua Health tends to attract passionate and purposeful colleagues who appreciate its gift to improve the health and well-being of our community,” said Rhonda Jordan, SHRM-SCP, executive vice president and chief human resources officer.

“It’s common to meet Virtua colleagues who have been with the organization for 20 or 30 years – often. We are proud of our outstanding workforce, and are committed to being an employer of choice for the future.
