Wallin secured his first professional singles title

LUBBOCK, Texas The qualifiers for juniors have started. Ole Wallinat the West Texas Pro Tennis Open for the first time in the ITF Men’s Singles Final and ended with a professional title.

On Sunday afternoon, Wallin had a big task ahead of Tennessee’s Blaise Bicknell, who came into the tournament as the No. 2 seed and ranked 115th in the ITA. Wallin won 6-4, 6-2 to secure the title in Lubbock, dropping just six games to take the lead.

The Swede played a lot of tennis this week, taking two matches in qualifying, winning both 6-0, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-2 to reach the main draw.

Once there, Wallin didn’t give up. He won his first round match 6-2, 6-4, then beat his 51st and Red Raider teammate. Isaac Arevalo 6-1, 6-1 in the second round.

Wallin advanced to the quarterfinals and beat Jayser Lyon 6-4, 6-2, then defeated sixth-seeded Alex Michelson 7-6 (10), 6-3 in the semifinals.

Wallin capped off a perfect season with a straight sets win in the final as he went undefeated in the tournament. Also Wallin and Piotr Pawlak He also made a double appearance in the semi-finals.

The Red Raiders continue their losing streak as a few players travel to New Mexico for the Albuquerque 15k.
