Two Australian brands, Ksubi, the global streetwear line, and PE Nation, the activewear label, have teamed up to launch a limited edition womenswear denim collection that drops on October 6th.
The collaboration is a contemporary update on athleisure fashion culture. The 16-piece collection combines ’90s denim silhouettes with modern street-sport style, featuring 10 denim pieces alongside lifestyle and activewear styles. They include an oversized jersey t-shirt, a shearling outerwear and a structured cropped cargo skirt. Other looks include a biker short and a cropped long-sleeve t-shirt in a custom hyper-warped print, designed to be paired with key denim pieces like a layered denim skirt, a long-line denim bomber jacket and a wide-leg separate. Details include Ksubi’s signature 4×4 woven crosses, signature PE Nation gold hardware and a unique custom logo, a play on Ksubi’s iconic box-crosses combined with the PE Nation brand logo.
The collaboration will launch globally on October 6th at select retail partners including pe-nation.com, Ksubi.com and BrownsFashion.com.
Prices range from $120 to $350.
PE Nation founders Pip Edwards and Claire Tregoning said, “As an Australian brand driven by attitude and expression, both brands share a similar mindset and ambition, so we’re excited to join forces.” He said that he feels that denim and activewear are the basis of the modern woman’s wardrobe.
“Xubi is a brand that has always embraced change,” said Craig King, 23-year-old CEO of the Xubi brand. “We’ve seen the worlds of denim, streetwear and activewear cross over recently and there’s no better example of this than Pip & Claire at PE Nation. At this time, the opportunity to combine the DNA of two great Australian brands to produce something new for our markets was too good to turn down.
The collection’s campaign was shot in Sydney, Australia and stars Australian-born international model Shanina Shaik.
