The Milwaukee Health Department hosts fall meetings to gather input from the community.
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Health Department is seeking feedback from the Milwaukee community to help select priorities for the 2023-2028 MKE Elevate Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). Join MKE Elevate at one of four upcoming community meetings:

Virtual meeting
The meeting is open to anyone who lives, works or plays in Milwaukee. Each meeting includes a brief informational presentation, a photo display of the latest PhotoVoice contest, and small group discussions on top health priorities. Participants will gain a better understanding of community health information, help develop an agenda for community health improvement in Milwaukee, and learn how to get involved by joining a steering committee or task force. The meetings are free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served. Interested participants can register at Milwaukee.gov/MKEelevate.
“The Milwaukee Health Department is committed to developing a community-wide health improvement plan that directly addresses and addresses the issues most important to our residents,” said Milwaukee Health Commissioner Kirsten Johnson. “To achieve this, we need to hear from you. Make your voice heard at one of these fall meetings so we can achieve our vision of safer and healthier neighborhoods in Milwaukee.
Raise the wife It was launched in 2016 as a comprehensive community-based process to identify, address, and develop a roadmap to address health disparities in Milwaukee. First CHIP Published in October 2017 and implemented between 2017 and 2021. The upcoming fall meetings are part of CHIP’s redevelopment for the next five years.
